Reduce waste
Efficient use of materials, waste reduction, and enhanced recycling are high priorities in our operation. Our goal is to achieve a 5% reduction in waste and a 5% increase in recycling year-over-year.
Recyclable packaging
We have collaborated with a supplier to replace non-recyclable packaging with recyclable plastic on imported material.
Responsible material use is essential to minimize waste, prevent pollution, and further aid in the reduction of GHG emissions. This initiative not only contributes to circularity but also helps our climate.
Saves 1.540 kg CO2 annually
Digitizing
Scaling down on print paper is a recent initiative we have deployed by digitizing our inventory status using handheld scanners and a warehouse database.
While paper waste will decrease significantly, work processes will be highly optimized, run more efficiently, and error-making will be minimized. We always strive to improve internal functions by adapting to lean principles.
Waste treatment
We seek to increase the recyclable fraction of our waste load and we are searching for ways to enhance presorting.
All waste is transported to incineration plants where the treatment of non-recyclable materials generates energy in form of electricity or heat known as Waste-to-Energy (WtE).
Environment
Cutting corners is not an option at our company. We do everything as thoroughly as we can, from the beginning to the end. No excuses and no shortcuts allowed.
