HVAC – General Ventilation

Filter media for efficient and reliable HVAC filtration

HVAC and general ventilation systems require filter media that support clean air, low airflow resistance and reliable performance throughout the service life of the filter.

JP Air Tech develops multilayer filter media for filter manufacturers and OEMs, balancing filtration efficiency, dust holding capacity, pressure drop and processability within the finished filter design.

Our portfolio supports residential, commercial and industrial ventilation applications, with standard grades available alongside customised 2-, 3- and 4-layer constructions.

Filter media for ventilation applications

Different ventilation environments place different demands on filter media.
JP Air Tech supports filter manufacturers and OEMs with multilayer solutions developed around the required efficiency class, airflow, dust loading, filter design and operating conditions.

Residential ventilation

Residential ventilation

Residential systems require efficient filtration with low pressure drop to help maintain healthy indoor air quality and support energy-efficient operation.

HVAC for commercial buildings

Commercial buildings

Commercial HVAC systems often operate continuously and must balance indoor air quality, service life and total operating cost across offices, retail, healthcare and public buildings.

Industrial ventilation

Industrial ventilation

Industrial HVAC and general ventilation applications may involve higher dust loading, more demanding operating conditions and stricter requirements for durability and system protection.

Where system performance and media design meet

HVAC media selection is often an optimisation task, where filtration class, airflow resistance, dust holding capacity and product design must work together within the same solution.
JP Air Tech supports this process through a broad filter media portfolio, multilayer constructions and flexible in-house capabilities across enhancement, converting and testing. This allows filter manufacturers and OEMs to develop ventilation products aligned with both filtration targets and system-level performance requirements.
Well-matched media solutions can help support cleaner indoor air, lower energy consumption, longer service life and reliable performance in operation.

Multilayer filter media designed for depth filtration

The illustration shows how different filtration functions are distributed across the media structure.

Each layer performs a defined role and can be tuned independently to balance filtration efficiency, pressure drop, dust holding capacity and processability in the finished filter design.

By combining the layers in 2-, 3- or 4-layer constructions, the media can be adapted to application requirements, dust loading, moisture exposure and production setup.

Multilayer media - how the construction is made

Standard multilayer filter media for HVAC

Our standard HVAC portfolio includes the M-Series and S-Series, developed to support different performance requirements across multiple ISO 16890 efficiency classes.

Both series are available as standard grades, while layer configuration, media properties and converting format can be adapted for application-specific requirements

M-Series

JX85 and JX105

Reliable multilayer filter media for HVAC and general ventilation applications, available across multiple ISO 16890 efficiency classes.

S-Series

JX80 and JX101

High-performance multilayer filter media designed to combine low initial pressure drop, high dust holding capacity and efficient particle capture across multiple ISO 16890 efficiency classes.

The S-Series have been tested for flame retardancy and are classified F1/K1 according to DIN 53438-2/-3.
